Cigarettes contain nicotine, which is a stimulant. It is your bodies repercussion to nicotine. It takes longer to affect some than others. Part of what keep people smoking is this rush that masses find desirable. The lightheadedness has zilch to do with addiction. It is cause by the carbon monoxide you are inhaling. You will get used to it eventually, but occasionally you will carry lightheaded even after decades of smoking.

It's called a nicotine rush cause by a rush of nicotine to the brain. Common smokers usually experience this when they have their first cigarette of the light of day and some are dependent on this which is why they are addicted.
Don't go near, the shorttime pleasure is not worth the long term torment.
