How do the white flecks surrounded by fingernails indicate a calcium defect within the body?

A beautiful, unforgotten, and exceptionally helpful friend once told me that the white flecks and spots contained by my fingernails indicate a calcium definciency in my body. I've be taking calcium everyday for years. How is it that I have a calcium negative amount? How do the white flecks surrounded by fingernails indicate a calcium defect within the body?
It's a common medical myth that white spots on your fingernails are cause by too little calcium in your diet. However, these white spots (called leukonychia) are not a sign of a calcium negative amount. But they can be an indicator of other problems.
The most common incentive of leukonychia is blunt trauma to the nail bed, such as a knock or a blow. Due to the slow growth rate of nail, the white spots of leukonychia may appear gradually and dawdle for months.
Other causes could include a rough manicure, a slight allergic criticism to enamels or other nail products, or even a mild bacterial or fungal infection.
White spots can also appear on toenails, but regardless of their location, they are collectively harmless and will disappear next to time. However, a nail that turns completely white could be a symptom of liver disease and should be looked at by a doctor. http://www.soundmedicine.iu.edu/segment....

The white that you are seeing within your fingernails usually indicate a lack of Zinc. Take a suitable quality multivitamin every time and it should supply you with plenty zinc. It will take roughly speaking three months before you see a difference.
