Has anyone found their blood glucose reduced on Clonidine?

Has anyone found their blood glucose reduced on Clonidine?
I took Clonidine for many years(hypertension) and it really did not impact my blood sugars. It does not present any protective effects for the kidneys either, so am presently taking an ace inhibitor instead.
Clonidine should be used cautiously within patients with diabetes mellitus because transient elevation in blood glucose own been noted.
There is nought in the research that negotiations about a tightening in blood glucose.
