soo i start byetta tommarow, i am nervous, as it is within needle form, and i own only have diabetes for a year, but my body cant handle the amount of metformin that i enjoy to take, so they are trying me on byetta, have any one tried it, and if so what do you thinkHas Anyone Tried Byetta?
I started on Byetta 8 months ago. Started beside the 5 mcg. dose and am now on the 10 mcg. dose. It comes contained by pen form and is not difficult to use. Once you set the dose on the pen, you can not give yourself too much. It does hold some side effects so they ususally do not increase the dose quickly. Your body does adjust to the side effects after 3-4 weeks. I bookish to eat inwardly 20 minutes of taking it to avoid the nausea. It can make you constipated, so drink plenty of river and use a high fiber diet if this happen. I notice that a headache is the just lingering side effect. I did loose 12 pounds while taking it, a plus!(it keep you from feeling hungry)
I've hear good things almost it. I may be trying it soon as my body doesn't tolerate the various pills. Good luck to you.
THEY WANTED ME TO TAKE IT BUT I AM AFRAID OF THE PEN INJECTION ..IS YOURS A NEEDLE?
I WISH IT CAME IN VIALS I WOULD USE IT ..I DO NOT LIKE THE PEN INJECTION ..BUT I HEARD
THAT IT CAN MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT AND SIDE EFFECTS ARE NAUSEA ..
My husband know a couple of people who own been on it and they swear it's the best. Both of them have the sugars under control and they respectively lost over 20 pounds.
It's still in the trialling stage here in Canada, I can't lurk to try it, I totally understand something like the Metformin, I was on 2000mg a sunshine, had a horrible time near it.
Good Luck to you.
